We are a group of families who like some of the benefits that churches offer - a chance to socialize, to do community service, to teach our children about life and the world - without religion being involved. We are atheists, agnostics, and secular humanists with kids! If you are interested in having something akin to a "church family" without the church, then this is the group for you.

This is a meetup for Atheists of Sarasota. We unite a community of activists to uphold the complete and absolute separation of church and state. Our mission is to: advance the cause of atheism and atheists by advocacy and action concerning the separation of church and state; promote education about atheism within our group and the community; improve the image of atheists through public relations.

Atheists, secular humanists, agnostics, non-religious people in Sarasota and Manatee Counties who care about Church-State separation and supporting the growth of the secular and humanist movements.
